Commack Kosher Caterers Closes – Got A Plan B?

Hailed as Suffolk’s lone kosher butcher, Commack Kosher Caterers Deli & Market is no longer in business.

A mainstay the Mayfair Shopping Center on Jericho Turnpike, the butcher had provided certified kosher meals to customers throughout the North Shore and even into the Hampton Bays. The shop closed its doors last week. 

According to Jewish Week, “several shoppers" said the "owner did not have enough customers to sustain his business.”

That puts those who keep kosher needing to come up with a Plan B. While some observant Jews may shop for kosher meat at ShopRite in Commack, others would need to travel into Nassau County, Newsday reported.
