Just got done paying my 2017 First Half Taxes to Huntington. My Commack Library taxes are just shy of $900/year. Is it just me or is it ridiculous for every family in the district to have to pay almost $100 a month for the library? What's even more disturbing, is it's 2016, why would we even need a brick and mortar building employing 50 people plus pensions when all we would need to do is have online access to the reading material in pdf or kindle format.
Another idea would be to just order our own books from Amazon having a $100/month budget for books and get to keep the book and possibly sell it used on Ebay.
