Commack Man Killed In Crash On LIE
BREAKING: A 52-year-old man was killed in a crash on the Long Island Expressway Sunday morning, police say.
BRENTWOOD, NY – A 52-year-old Commack man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Long Island Expressway Sunday morning, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, Scott Henbest was driving a Dodge Durango east on the LIE, just west of Exit 55 in Brentwood, when the SUV veered off the roadway into trees off the right shoulder at about 11:55 a.m.
Henbest was transported by Central Islip Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
