Commack Man Masturbated in Front of Woman in Mall Parking Lot: Police

A Commack man with a history of public lewdness was arrested Tuesday for masturbating in front of a woman in the Walt Whitman Mall parking lot last week, police say.

According to authorities, a Saks Fifth Avenue employee was walking in the mall parking lot, located at 160 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station, when a man gestured for her to come to his car on Friday at 6:15 p.m.

The woman saw the man masturbating as she approached the car, police say. The woman ran to her vehicle and the man fled the scene.

An investigation led to the arrest of 48-year-old Frank Lombardi at the intersection of Manor Road and Woods Court in Elwood at 5:15 p.m. Police say Lombardi has 17 previous convictions for public lewdness dating back to 1994.

Patch previously reported that Lombardi exposed himself to another person while in his car at the Macy’s parking lot in Lake Grove in April 2012, police say. He was arrested in August 2012 on another public lewdness charge and publicly exposed himself at the Smithaven Mall in March 2012 and at Suffolk Community College in April 2012, police say.

Lombardi drives a a 2011 black Lincoln Town car and a 1999 grey Mercury Sable, police say.

Lombardi was charged with public lewdness and will be held overnight at the Second Precinct. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
