Commack Man Named To 2019 Super Lawyers List

GARDEN CITY, NY — Jason A. Newfield, of Commack, along with Justin C. Frankel, who are partners at the disability law firm Frankel & Newfield, have been selected to the New York Metro Super Lawyers list as two of the top New York metro area lawyers for 2019, according to a press release.

Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the New York metro area are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive the honor. Both Frankel and Newfield were named Super Lawyers from 2013 - 2019, and Frankel was selected in 2011.

Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multi-phase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.

Newfield aggressively represents claimants in long term disability insurance and other insurance claims and litigation and has extensive experience in both federal and state courts, stated the press release. He represents doctors, dentists, accountants, lawyers and other professionals and policyholders on disability insurance matters.

He is a frequent lecturer to legal medical and other professional organizations about the disability process and is a physician educator concerning the documentation of support for claimants with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Newfield has published numerous articles on disability insurance and is a member of the American Conference Institute, lecturing to attorneys and claims personnel at conferences throughout the United States.
