Andrea Mattera, an accountant, has been elected chair of the SUNY Old Westbury School of Business Advisory Board

Andrea Mattera, senior manager with the accounting firm AVZ, New York, has been elected chair of the SUNY Old Westbury School of Business Advisory Board. Mattera, an alumna of the College’s Accounting program, will lead the Board in its role as a liaison between the School and the local business community.

“The faculty and staff of the School of Business are confident in the leadership of Ms. Andrea Mattera, a proven role model to our students and neighboring communities alike, as we begin our next academic year,” said Dean Jason Zhu.

In her role at AVZ, Mattera delivers accounting, auditing and taxation services to a diversified client base in a variety of industries including wholesale distribution, manufacturing, construction, professional services, and not-for profit entities. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, she worked for a mid-sized public accounting firm in Nassau County, and the Assurance and Business Advisory Services Practice at Ernst and Young, LLP, in Melville, New York.
