Commack School District Among Best Places to Teach in NY

Niche.com recently released their list of the top places to teach in the state.

Commack School District recently made this list of the top 100 best places to teach in the state.

A new ranking by Niche.com, a company which researches data on public and private K-12 schools, has answered that question, using information about teacher salary, experience and attendance. The recently released rankings also take into consideration the districts' academic, safety and resources.

"A high ranking indicates that the district contains great schools with exceptional teachers who are offered excellent support and compensation," according to Niche.com.

The website says the ranking provides a "comprehensive assessment of the quality, support, and compensation a district provides to its teachers."

The list was created using data form various government and public sources, as well as opinion-based survey responses from current students, recent alumni and parents.

The local school district ranked at number 52 on the list.
