Commack School District Raises Over $47K For St. Baldrick's

The Commack School District recently raised over $47,000 at the St. Baldrick's event held earlier this month.

During the annual event held on March 3, over 150 participants shaved their heads. In addition, many volunteers showed up to help out.

The school raised a total of $47,693. The top three teams to raise money included the Burr Intermediate team which raised a total of $17,530, the CBA Lakers team, which raised a total of $5,038 and the Commack Middle School team which raised a total of $2,970.

In eight years of hosting the evnet, Commack has surpassed the $550,000 mark. The money all went to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which raises money for childhood cancer research.
