Commack Schools BOE Moves Forward in Superintendent Search

COMMACK, NEW YORK —The Commack School District Board of Education, in partnership with the District’s search consultants, Western Suffolk BOCES, has completed the initial candidate screening and application review process for the District’s next Superintendent of Schools.

The District’s stellar reputation for educational excellence, innovative programming and strong community support attracted a large initial pool of applicants. Following a vetting process conducted by the Western Suffolk BOCES consultants, an initial grouping of candidates was recommended to the Board for the first round of interviews. These interviews have been completed. The second round of interviews will take place in February 2022 and the final round will be conducted in March 2022.

By no later than April 2022, it is anticipated that the final candidate will be selected by the Board of Education. The successful candidate will officially assume the position of Superintendent of Schools on July 1, 2022, the start of the 2022-2023 school year.
