Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps Presents Run For Your Life 5k Run/Walk 2019

COMMACK, NYCommack Volunteer Ambulance Corp will present Run For Your Life 5k Run/Walk 2019 sponsored by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, taking place at Sawmill Intermediate School, 103 New Highway, Commack, NY, 11725 for the eighth year in a row on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. featuring professional race announcer Terry Bisogno.

The race is a flat, fast, USATF certified event for competitive runners as well as casual runners/walkers and their supportive friends. All monies go to Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Get 1 FREE raffle ticket with registration. We will also be selling raffle tickets, so don’t forget to buy some and win a prize. Race starts at 9:00 a.m. SHARP. In person registration and check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. There will be on course water stations, refreshments, and prizes.

The Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps, located on Burr Road, is a volunteer not-for-profit community ambulance service that provides pre-hospital emergency care and transportation to the residents covering the Commack Fire Department area, parts of Hauppauge, Smithtown, Elwood, and East Northport comprised of approximately 40,000 residents, 1,400 commercial entities, and 8 schools as well as supporting other ambulance/fire departments as mutual aid for over 50 years. We operate 5 Advanced Life Support Ambulances and 6 Advanced Life Support First Responder Vehicles on a 24/7 basis. With over 3,800 alarms a year, our in-house crews provide superior response time to ambulance calls with highly trained and motivated emergency medical personnel. Commack Ambulance is considered one of the finest EMS organizations in Suffolk County and that is because of our members. We were awarded the Suffolk County EMS Agency of the Year for 2016.
