Driver Shot At On Commack Road After Early-Morning Incident: Police
The driver was treated and released after the overnight gunfire incident, police say.
COMMACK, NY — A man was shot at while driving southbound on Commack Road north of the Long Island Expressway early Sunday morning, police said.
The incident occurred at around 2:15 a.m. on Feb. 15, when an occupant of another vehicle fired multiple shots at the victim’s car, according to police.
The driver was able to continue traveling and self-transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was treated and later released, police said.

No additional injuries were reported. Police did not immediately release the victim’s identity or provide a description of the suspect vehicle.
