East Northport Resident Earns Boy Scouts Highest Achievement
Sean Nolan of East Northport was recently awarded the Boy Scouts of America.
From Dix Hills Fire Department: Eagle Scout rank at a court of honor held on May 9, 2018. Sean’s Eagle Scout project was completed at the headquarters of the Dix Hills Fire Department. Honoring fallen New York City Firefighter and Dix Hills Assistant Chief Terry Farrell who was killed in the September 11th attacks, Sean completed two brick paver walks and a sitting area that surrounds a section of World Trade Center Steel. In Sean’s speech to all who attended he said, “It was my honor to do such a project for a man that gave his life so selflessly, he is a true hero”. Sean, 17, is a senior at Northport High School and be attending Johnson and Wales University in the fall with a focus on culinary arts. He is a member of Scouts Troop 5, St. Anthony's of East Northport.
