Starting at approx map coord 40.824212, -73.286756 (according to maps.google.com), the east side of Harned Rd, just north of Brian St., is deteriorating. The street from New Highway up to Jericho Tnpk was recently paved, which has been needed for over 20 years, thank you very much. But, this small area (about 30 yards) of pavement, which is on a somewhat sharp curve and slope, has become badly distorted over the past year, most likely due to vehicle wheel torque as cars drive over the inner (eastern) lane, which would explain why the outer (western) lane isn't affected at all (i.e., there is nowhere near the amount of torque needed to traverse it). If/when the road is repaired, special attention must be made to take this into account, or it will happen again.
