Elderly Woman's Credit Card Stolen By Trio In Commack: Police

Two women distracted the woman while a man stole her card, police say. The credit card was used an hour later, police say.

COMMACK, NY — Two women and a man are accused of stealing a credit card from an elderly woman while she was shopping in Commack on Thursday, and Suffolk police are looking for the public's help in identifying the trio, police said.

Two women distracted the woman while a man stole a credit card from her purse that was left unattended in a shopping cart at HomeGoods, at 6 Henry St., around 6:05 p.m. Thursday, police said.

The card was used to make a purchase at Walmart in Commack less than an hour later, police said.

The trio is wanted for grand larceny.

A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
