ICYMI: Police ID Pair Found Dead in Murder-Suicide at Long Island Motel

COMMACK, NY - Police have identified the the man and woman who were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide at the Commack Motor Inn last week, Suffolk Police said.

Omar Torres, 31, and Yesenia Abreu, 29, both of Glendale, Queens, were found dead last Wednesday afternoon by an employee who entered a room after they failed to check out at their scheduled time, according to police.

The initial investigation revealed that Torres killed Abreu and then shot himself, police said.

Abreu’s cause of death remains undetermined. Detectives are awaiting autopsy results from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
