Jersey Mike's Subs Officially Opens First Long Island Location

The sandwich shop chain announced last month that it would be opening its first Long Island location.

Jersey Mike's Subs has officially open on Long Island.

The popular chain announced last month that it was planning on opening its first Long Island location in Commack.

The new restaurant owned by John Walsh, Susan Daly and Nikki Gingola opened up on 6224 Jericho Turnpike.

Guests can enjoy hot subs such as their 'Famous Philly' which has onions, peppers, steak and white American cheese or cold subs like their 'Jersey Shore's Favorite" which has provolone, ham and cappacuolo.

The first Jersey Mike's opened in 1956 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey and now there is a total of 1,500 restaurants open and under development across the U.S.

Additional Long Island locations are expected to pop up this year including one in Uniondale expected to open in November and one in Hauppauge which is scheduled to open in December.
