Man With 22 License Suspensions Fled Scene Of Commack Crash: PD
The 54-year-old was found trying to fix his car behind a Taco Express in Selden following the crash, police say.

SELDEN, NY - A Selden man with 22 suspensions on his license was arrested for fleeing the scene of a crash on the Long Island Expressway in Commack on Thursday night, according to Suffolk Police.
A man was driving a Toyota Sienna east on the LIE when he rear-ended a Chevrolet SUV near exit 52 at 5:30 p.m. before fleeing, police said.
A third driver, not involved in the crash, followed the Toyota and called police, providing the license plate number of the car.

After an investigation, officer Rob Ketelas determined the driver of the Toyota was 54-year-old Richard Mouzakes, police said.
Ketelas then notified Sixth Precinct officers that Mouzakes was in the Selden area, police said.

The officers found Mouzakes trying to repair the damage on his car behind Taco Express on 1236 Middle Country Road in Selden, police said.
The investigation also revealed that Mouzakes’ license had previously been suspended 22 times, police said.
He was charged with leaving the scene of motor vehicle accident and second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
He was also issued several traffic citations for violations related to the crash.
Mouzakes was released on bail and will be arraigned at a later date.
