Man Arrested For Vandalizing Church: Police

The 21-year-old shattered a window with a skateboard and knocked down a sign in front of the church, police say.

COMMACK, NY - A Commack man was arrested on Thursday for vandalizing a Commack church in January, police said.

A man, identified as 21-year-old Lucas Rousso, knocked down a sign and shattered the glass window on the front door of the Christ the King Church on 2 Indian Head Road with a skateboard on Jan. 26.

Following a lengthy investigation, police identified Rousso as the man who vandalized the property, police said.

As a result, he was arrested Thursday in Commack and charged with third degree criminal mischief, police said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
