Police are investigating a Commack bank robbery that occurred Friday afternoon.
According to authorities, a man entered Bank of America, located at 41 Veterans Memorial Highway, and handed a teller a note demanding cash at 12:30 p.m.
The teller complied with the demand and the man fled on foot in a southern direction.

Police described the robber as black, 6 feet tall, with a medium build and a shaved head. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
