Man Seriously in Hurt in Crash Into Tree in Commack
The driver of the car received a summons for speeding following accident Thursday night, police say.

COMMACK, NY - Two people were hurt, one seriously, when a speeding car slammed into a tree in the woods off Motor Parkway in Commack Thursday night, police said.
According to police, 28-year-old Marie Telemaque, of Brentwood, was driving her 2003 Mazda 4-door sedan eastbound on Motor Parkway, near Shinbone Lane, when she apparently lost control of the car around 7 p.m.

A backseat passenger, 26-year-old Sean Corbin, of Brentwood, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. A front seat passenger, Hugh Tomlinson, 26, of Brentwood, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
A third person was taken the hospital, fire officials told Patch, but police did not specify if that was Telemaque or another passenger.

Telemaque was issued a summons for imprudent speed.
Commack firefighters, EMS crews and police worked together as a team to assist with the removal and treatment of the patients.
The Commack Fire Department was on the scene with an engine and heavy rescue truck, under the command of Chief Andy Babajko and assistant chiefs Rich Myers and Paul Carnevale.
