Man Uses Credit Card Info Stolen From Commack Woman: Police

The man used the card information in multiple towns, buying $265 worth of materials, police say. He is wanted for identity theft.

COMMACK, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in looking for the man who police said stole a Commack woman's credit card information and used it at multiple stores in October.

A woman reported at 11:55 a.m. on Oct. 31 that someone she did not know used her credit card information to make purchases at multiple stores in Bay Shore, Deer Park and Bohemia, police said. The purchases totaled roughly $265, police said. The man is wanted for identity theft.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
