Man Loads Cart With Items, Uses Receipts From Garbage To Return

Police are seeking the man who used receipts he found outside a Lowe's store to "return" items in order to get cash, police say.

COMMACK, NY - Police are seeking a man who stole cash from a Commack store in December.

The man (pictured above) entered Lowe's on 100 Long Island Expressway, on Dec. 12 at 8:30 p.m. and loaded a shopping cart with items.

He then used receipts he obtained from a garbage can outside the store to return the items and collect cash.

The man was described as 6-foot with brown hair.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
