Man Who Used Pepper Spray In Suffolk Store Arrested: Police
The man walked into Marshalls and released pepper spray into the air, police say. Two people were taken to a hospital, police say.
COMMACK, NY — A Bay Shore man who released pepper spray inside a Commack business on Tuesday was arrested, Suffolk police said.
Carl Goode, 57, walked into Marshalls, at 6A Henry Street, and released pepper spray into the air at 6:40 p.m., police said. He was arrested near the store at 6:55 p.m., police said.
Nine people were evaluated at the scene, with one being brought to Huntington Hospital, police said. Another person called 911 from their home and was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, police said. Both were treated and released.

Goode was charged with unlawfully possessing or selling noxious material and second-degree criminal nuisance. He also had an active warrant. He was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
