MTA Issues Alcohol Ban On LIRR Trains During SantaCon
Drunk Santas, keep your alcohol at home.

LONG ISLAND, NY - Any Santas traveling to Manhattan for the popular SantaCon will have to leave their booze at home. The MTA announced on Wednesday that alcohol will be temporarily banned on all LIRR trains during the event this weekend.
Santa is an NYC holiday-themed bar crawl that attracts drunk Santa Clauses from all over New York. The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The alcohol ban will take place between noon on Saturday, Dec. 9 and noon on Sunday, Dec. 10 in order to "maintain orderly travel and safe station and terminal operations," according to the MTA.
