Nesconset Man Killed in Crash in Garden City

A Nesconset man was killed Saturday morning when his car slammed into a telephone pole in Garden City, police said.

According to police, Brett O. Dinsky, 35, was driving white 2013 BMW M5, south on Franklin Avenue at a high rate of speed when the car struck a pole at the corner of Second Street at 10:15 a.m., police said.

Dinsky was pronounced dead at the scene about 15 minutes later, police said. The BMW was impounded for safety inspections.
