Police: Men Attacked, Tried to Rob Pizza Delivery Man in Northport

The three men are wanted for attempted robbery.

Police are looking to identify the three men who attacked and attempted to rob a pizza delivery man in front of a Northport healthcare facility on Friday.

According to Northport Police, the delivery man was approached by three young men who knocked him to the ground, repeatedly punched and kicked him and attempted to remove items from his pockets in front of Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk, located at 505 Main St., at 8:05 p.m.

The three men were scared off by a passing vehicle before they could grab any property.

They fled the scene in a black, late-model, two-door hatchback Honda with tinted windows, tinted taillights and a loud muffler, police said. The vehicle also likely had a standard shift transmission.

Authorities described the three attackers as black, 18 to 22 years old and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.
