Ms. Carll gave her farm to the Commack school district in 1968 with the stipulation it become an agricultural,historical and educational "living" museum for the children and adults of the Community and surrounding area.
With today's enlightenment of the benefits of eating organic produce, open space preservation and human need for "sense of place"...it's a disgrace this farm sits in deteriorating neglect.
