Trio In Stolen Car Arrested After Police Chase, Crash
Four people fled from the stolen car after the Long Island crash. Three were arrested, but the driver remains on the loose, police say.

COMMACK, NY – Three people were arrested after fleeing from a stolen car that crashed following a police chase that began on the Northern State Parkway Saturday afternoon, State Police said.
According to police, a trooper observed a 2018 Dodge Durango on the eastbound Northern State Parkway west of Veterans Memorial Highway operating at a high rate of speed around 12:50 p.m.
The trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the Durango's driver failed to comply and began to flee, police said.

The trooper pursued the Durango until it collided with a 2016 Nissan Sentra at the intersection of Vets Highway and Harned Road, police said.
The driver and three passengers exited the Durango and fled the scene on foot, police said.

With the assistance of Suffolk Police and NYS Environmental Conservation Police, troopers searched the vicinity and located the three passengers and took them into custody, police said.
Troopers are still attempting to locate the driver and are asking anyone with information to call the New York State Police Troop L Headquarters at 631-756-3300.
An investigation revealed that the Durango was stolen from a car dealership in Manhattan, police said.
Two of the passengers who were arrested were identified as James Tafari, 19, and Anthony M. Alcindor-Louis, 26, both of Brooklyn. The third passenger was a 15-year-old juvenile delinquent who police did not name.
All three are charged with third degree criminal possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
The driver and a passenger in the Sentra were treated for minor injuries and released from a hospital.
