Two $50K Winning Powerball Tickets Sold On Long Island; $700 Million Jackpot For Wednesday

Two $50,000 winning Powerball tickets were sold on Long Island for Saturday's drawing.

One ticket was sold at the Mobil gas station at 1194 Portion Road in Holtsville and the other was sold at the Haniya Card and Gifts Inc at 1139-1 Jericho Turnpike in Commack, the New York Lottery told Patch Tuesday.

A total of 380,577 “winning” tickets were sold in New York for Saturday's drawing. There were no jackpot winners. Six people who bought tickets in New York won a $50,000 prize while 906 people won $100. The rest of the winning tickets were between $4 and $7. The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday were: : 17-19-39-43-68 and Powerball 13.

Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time. The jackpot for Wednesday is up to $700 million, the second-largest in Powerball history.
