Westy Self Storage supports The Foundation For Sight and Sound by donating a storage unit where the group will house items for an upcoming fundraiser, Spring Cleaning For A Cause.

Celebrating its 13th anniversary, the mission of The Foundation For Sight and Sound is to enhance the quality of life for men, women and children with vision and/or hearing challenges. As a registered 501C3 not-for-profit organization, they fund their programs through fundraising events and limited private and public grants. The group is dedicated to creating a world where people with vision and/or hearing impairments can realize their full potential, allowing them to lead lives of inclusion and not isolation. The Foundation’s Help America Hear Program is celebrating its 8th anniversary and since its inception the group has fit over 1,100 people with new hearing aids. Spring Cleaning For A Cause offers a second life for your unneeded items. The Foundation For Sight and Sound has teamed up with Saver Donations for a FUNDrive. Household items are collected and then Saver Donations will pay by the pound for the items donated. Collection items include: gently worn clothing, shoes, bedding and towels, accessories, electrical items, toys and games, kitchen items, CDs, DVDs, books and sporting equipment. Help your community by donating items at 2 Clearbrook Drive, Smithtown through June 30.

“Westy solved a major obstacle for us by providing us with a clean, secure location to house our items,” said Mitch Shapiro, The Foundation For Sight and Sound. “We are grateful for their generosity.”
