COPIAGUE, NY — This fall, Wednesday nights at Manzi Hall are about to sound a whole lot better. Manzi Hall is proud to introduce The Groove Workshop—a brand-new monthly live music experience designed specifically for musicians who love to play, collaborate, network, and keep Long Island's vibrant music scene alive.

A Place Where Musicians Don't Just Perform…They Connect

The series kicks off on Wednesday 10/14 with acclaimed musician and talent agent John (Saxon) Doboe alongside his rhythm section. The Groove Workshop isn't your typical "open jam." It is a professionally hosted musical gathering where great players meet, friendships are formed, future bands are forged, and professional opportunities are created.

In today's music scene, finding dependable substitute players or replacing a band member can be difficult. The Groove Workshop was created as a monthly networking hub, helping players connect before the next gig, recording session, or touring opportunity arises.

Whether you are a touring professional, weekend player, studio musician, or simply a music lover, The Groove Workshop offers something unique. Depending on schedules, the event will rotate featured host musicians from month to month, keeping every Workshop fresh while exposing attendees to the area’s finest performers and musical styles. Invited musicians who sit in are encouraged to trade solos, experiment with new ideas, and enjoy playing together in an atmosphere built around respect, professionalism, and "The Groove."

Unlike traditional open jams, The Groove Workshop gives musicians the opportunity to introduce themselves to the audience, announce upcoming performances, promote new recordings, share stories from the road, and spotlight their own projects. As the series grows, it will become part of Live From Manzi Hall, a new podcast and video series with Empire Events that showcases Manzi Hall’s musical talent to a broader audience.

Music fans are invited to enjoy an evening of incredible live music in one of the area’s most unique and intimate event venues. Because admission is limited, attendees are encouraged to reserve early:

• VIP Table Seating (with Reservation): $20 (Includes reserved table seating plus complimentary coffee and sweets; $25 at the door).
• Floor Chair Seating: $10.
• Players Play, They Don't Pay: Musicians participating in the Workshop are admitted free of charge.

The Groove Workshop wouldn't be complete without great food, so Mike's Underground will serve the evening's featured menu. Known throughout Long Island for its creative Italian food and unforgettable flavors, Mike's Underground is one of Manzi Hall's signature culinary partners and a local favorite.

Giving Back Through Music

Like every in-house production presented at Manzi Hall, proceeds from The Groove Workshop will benefit the continued construction and maintenance of their Veterans Memorial Garden—a community project honoring the service and sacrifice of America's veterans.
