WYANDANCH, NY — One person was killed and seven others were injured during a shooting at a Wyandanch house party early Saturday.
Police responded to 76 Grand Boulevard after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting at about 1:30 a.m.
One of the shooting victims, an adult male, whose identity is being withheld, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other victims, six adult males and one adult female, were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Two of the males are in serious condition.

This incident is gang-related, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
