2 Men Arrested, Charged After Robbing North Babylon Bank: PD

One man displayed a handgun and demanded money from a teller, Suffolk County Police say.

NORTH BABYLON, NY — Two men were arrested and charged on Saturday after they robbed a North Babylon bank, Suffolk County Police said.

Joseph Mann, 50, of Shirley, and Marlon Johnson, 44, of Wyandanch, were arrested and charged with one court of first-degree robbery each, police said.

According to police, Mann entered Roslyn Savings Bank, located at 1501 Deer Park Ave., at about 12:55 p.m., displayed a handgun, and demanded cash from a teller.

The teller complied and Mann fled the scene in a motor vehicle driven by Marlon Johnson, police said.

Following an investigation, officers arrested the two men outside of Johnson’s home at about 2:05 p.m., police said.

Mann and Johnson will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555.
