2 Teens Hurt After 14-Year-Old Crashes Motorcycle On Long Island
A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured. Neither teen was wearing safety equipment. The motorcycle went through a stop sign.

COPIAGUE, NY - A 14-year-old boy driving a motorcycle crashed into a car, injuring him and seriously injuring his 13-year-old passenger, on Long Island on Wednesday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Luis Santos, 14, of Copiague was driving a 2007 motorcycle south on Vespucci Avenue in Copiague when he failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Campagnoli Avenue and was struck by an eastbound 2013 Infiniti JX-35 at 7:45 p.m., police said.
Neither Santos nor his passenger, 13-year-old Rainiery Balbuena, of Copiague, were wearing safety equipment, police said.

Balbuena was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he is in serious condition.
Santos was transported to the same hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Infiniti, 45-year-old Laticia Britton-Marie, of Copiague, was not injured.
The motorcycle and the Infiniti were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
