Affordable Senior Housing Project Opens In Wyandanch

The apartments are designed for those 62 and older, and accommodate people with mobility issues.

WYANDANCH, NY — A new, affordable senior-housing complex in Wyandanch is officially open, according to New York YIMBY.

Wyandanch Village, located at 11 Park Drive, is a 40-acre community developed in partnership by Albanese Development Corporation Selfhelp Realty Group.

The five-story building features 64 apartments for those 62 years and older, all designated for households earning at or below 70 percent area median income, New York YIMBY said. It is also designed to accommodate people with mobility issues.

Seven apartments are fully adapted to accommodate tenants with physical disabilities and three additional apartments will be fully adapted for residents who are visually or hearing impaired, New York YIMBY said.
