DEER PARK, NY — Weeks after lighting up his Deer Park home in honor of Dolly Parton, James Hentschel has unveiled his next tribute — this one marking the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Photos provided to Patch show Hentschel's Namleps Lane home illuminated in red, white and blue, with programmable displays featuring "9/11," "25," patriotic imagery and representations of the New York City skyline.

Hentschel previously told Patch that he created his first 9/11 display last year and planned to build on that design for this year's milestone anniversary.

"The good thing about this is I actually did one last year, so I could take a lot of stuff from last year and just update it to make it to the 25th anniversary," Hentschel said.

He said the original design took him about two hours to create.

Hentschel has been creating programmable light displays at his Deer Park home for about two years, with past tributes honoring Dolly Parton, Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan, along with displays for holidays throughout the year.

The new display comes ahead of Friday, Sept. 11, which marks 25 years since the 2001 attacks.
