• Long Island Public Arts Festival expands across Suffolk County with landmark exhibitions (tbrnewsmedia.com) — Deer Park residents can look forward to a free outdoor art exhibition at Geiger Park from September 1 to October 4, 2026, as part of the Long Island Public Arts Festival's expansion. Large-scale artworks by 21 regional artists will line the park's pathways, with a ribbon-cutting planned alongside Town of Babylon officials and additional programming continuing in Huntington's Heckscher Park afterward.
   

• Volleyball Recap: Tough Loss for Newfield (maxpreps.com) — Deer Park volleyball fans saw the Falcons notch their first win of the season with a 3–0 sweep over Newfield, improving their record to 1–1. Newfield's offense and defense showed flashes, but Deer Park controlled each set and now looks ahead to facing Smithtown East on September 30.
