COMMACK, NY — A 20-year-old Ronkonkoma man was arrested Friday after police said he committed lewd acts in parking lots in Commack and Centereach earlier this month.
Nicholas Critelli was charged with two counts of second-degree public lewdness following an investigation by Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives, authorities said.
Sixth Precinct officers responded on Oct. 1, around 9:40 p.m., to a 911 call reporting a man performing a lewd act inside his vehicle while calling over a woman in a parking lot at 161 Centereach Mall in Centereach, police said.
A similar incident was reported on Oct. 14 around 9:25 p.m. in a parking lot at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway in Commack, prompting a response from Fourth Precinct officers, police said.
Following an investigation, detectives arrested Critelli around 12:20 p.m. Friday in a parking lot at 1230 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, authorities said.
Critelli was being held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip.
Detectives are asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim of Critelli to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
