DEER PARK, NY — A Bay Shore man was convicted Thursday of operating a cocaine distribution business out of his Deer Park auto shop following a 10-month undercover investigation, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said.

Uriel Rose, 43, was found guilty of multiple felony drug charges after a bench trial before Acting Supreme Court Justice Philip Goglas on Oct. 22. Rose faces 12 to 24 years in prison when he is sentenced Dec. 1, prosecutors said.

According to the district attorney's office, Suffolk County police began investigating Rose's automotive shop, Beema Boyz, in June 2024. During the investigation, detectives conducted surveillance, and an undercover officer purchased cocaine from Rose on seven separate occasions.

Police executed a search warrant at the business on April 10, 2025. As officers entered, Rose attempted to flee from a bathroom toward the shop's exit, prosecutors said.

Investigators recovered cocaine from a toilet and more than eight ounces of cocaine from Rose's office desk, according to prosecutors.

Police also seized cash, a money counter, drug ledgers, scales and packaging materials. Investigators found discarded packages believed to have been used to transport kilograms of cocaine inside an office garbage can. The packages were labeled "Ahijado," Spanish for "godson," prosecutors said.

Rose was arrested at the scene with what appeared to be cocaine residue on his clothing, according to the district attorney's office.

Rose was convicted of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seven counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, eight counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three misdemeanor counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Prosecutors said Rose has several prior felony convictions, including drug sales and reckless endangerment.

Rose is represented by attorney Christopher Cassar who was not immediately available for comment. His sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 1.

"This defendant, a repeat offender, turned an automotive shop into a hub for narcotics distribution, selling drugs repeatedly to an undercover detective and maintaining a stash of cocaine," Tierney said. "Following a 10-month-long investigation, our prosecutors proved this operation in a court of law."
