Billy Ocean Packs Tanner Park

When the going got tough, thousands poured into Tanner Park to see Billy Ocean in concert.

Alright, so there wasn't anything all that tough about a summer evening along the water in Copiague, but the lyrical reference to one of Ocean's big hits was too easy to pass over.

Ocean performed "When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going," along with other popular pieces such as "Caribbean Queen," "Loverboy," "Colour of Love," and "Suddenly" on Wednesday night.

The concert drew about 5,000 to the park, said Frank Bachety, commissioner of parks for the Town of Babylon.

"It's a big crowd, but these concerts usually draw crowds," said Bachety, who books the town's summer concert acts.

Ocean, who is in the middle of a U.S. tour that makes a stop in Chicago tonight, also performed famous songs "No Woman, No Cry" and "Love Train."

After The tour ends, Ocean said on stage he would head to his youngest daughter's wedding in Barbados.

No word on if Ocean would perform at the wedding.
