‘Blizzard Day’ Brings Snowy Smiles, Student Performances To May Moore Primary School
Kindergarten students in the Deer Park School District performed winter-themed songs and poems during a special school concert.

DEER PARK, NY — Snowy smiles and proud families filled the room at May Moore Primary School last week as kindergarten students took the stage for a special “Blizzard Day” concert celebrating winter through music and poetry.
As part of their seasonal classroom activities, kindergartners in the Deer Park School District learned songs and poems centered around snow and winter traditions. The musical selections were taught during music class by Kristen Lombardo, while classroom teachers worked with students to practice their poems.
The event allowed students to showcase what they had learned and build confidence in front of an audience.
