Copiague High School Student Arrested For Making Threat
The 17-year-old was charged after sending threatening messages to another student on Sunday night.

COPIAGUE, NY - A 17-year-old male student at Copiague High School was arrested on Monday after making a school threat, according to Suffolk Police.
The teen, who is in his junior year, sent messages through Instagram to a female classmate on Sunday at 9 p.m.
The messages consisted of several threats against students in the Copiague High School Class of 2019, as well as suicidal statements, police said.

After a thorough investigation, officers arrested the teen on Monday at 7 p.m. Police did not release his name.
He was charged with third degree falsely reporting an incident. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
