Deer Park Famous Food Festival: What You Need To Know

DEER PARK, NY - If you missed the last Famous Food Festival in Deer Park in July — you are in luck. Another festival is set for this weekend.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 13 at Tanger Outlets on 152 The Arches Circle from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Here's what you need to know before heading out to the big event:

• Tickets cost $5. Children 10 and under get free admission.
• The 3rd and Final Round of the "Battle of the Badges" Championship Cookoff Competition will take place on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The SCPD 3rd Precinct will verse Riverhead Fire Department for a grand prize donation of $4000. The second place winner will receive a $1,000 cash donation.
• A guest chef demonstration will take place on Sunday at 2 p.m.
• Free Super Smash Bros’ Nintendo Video Game Tournament (by Aon Gaming & Gfuel) will take place on both Saturday and Sunday starting at 11 a.m.
• The event will also include:

- The Apt 84 Tour Bus appearance

- Cornhole and other big lawn games

- Over 60 cultural food vendors

- A beer and wine garden

- A 250-foot zip line and rock wall

- Virtual reality by NY Party Works and a golf/sports simulator by Simplay NY

12 p.m. to 2 p.m. - Penny Lane (A Beatles Tribute Band)

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Battle of the Badges Final Round - S.C.P.D. 3rd Precinct vs. Riverhead Fire Department.

4 p.m. to 5 p.m. - Over the Garden Wall

5 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Killin Time

Sunday:
