Deer Park Man Arrested After Glass Bottle Assault: Police
The victim was taken to the hospital Saturday night, police say.
A 33-year-old Deer Park man struck another man in the head with a glass bottle over the weekend, Suffolk Police said.
The incident occurred in front of 68 Liberty Street around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, police said. The man who was struck was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
Robert Bishop was arrested about an hour later and charged with assault with intent to cause serious physical injury, a felony.

He was arraigned on Sunday and released on $2,000 bail. He is due back in court on Friday.
