The Deer Park School District has named Kevin Quirk as an associate principal at Robert Frost Middle School, replacing Jack Bixhorn.

A Deer Park native and graduate of the Deer Park High School Class of 1998, Quirk had worked as a special education teacher at Frost for the past decade. The Sayville resident earned his undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s College and his administrator degree from the College of Saint Rose.

“I am both honored and humbled to be able to serve a community that I still call home,” Quirk said. “The safety and success of the students, parents and teachers of Deer Park are my top priorities and I hope to pave a road there with compassion, understanding and listening. By working as a team, there is nothing we can not accomplish. I am excited for this opportunity to work alongside people I call family in this extraordinary town.”
