Deer Park Seniors Return To Elementary Roots Before Graduation
The Class of 2026 visited former schools, reconnecting with teachers and inspiring younger students.
DEER PARK, NY — As graduation neared, Deer Park High School seniors took a nostalgic trip back to where their educational journeys first began.
On June 22 before commencement, members of the Class of 2026 boarded buses to visit John Quincy Adams Primary School, May Moore Primary School and John F. Kennedy Intermediate School, reconnecting with former teachers and inspiring some of the district’s youngest learners.
The soon-to-be graduates wore placards featuring photos of themselves as elementary students as they walked through the hallways. Current students cheered, waved and exchanged high-fives with the seniors, creating a memorable full-circle moment for students and staff alike.
