Deer Park Sister Group Drops Debut Track on iTunes
Petrel, a band made up of three local siblings, has its first song available for download.

Petrel, a girls pop-rock band, comprised of three Deer Park natives and sisters, released its debut track on iTunes last week.
The sisters, Jessica, Rebekah and Destiny, made "Bombshell" their premiere song, which can be downloaded through the band's website, PetrelMusic.com and on iTunes.
"We are ecstatic about the release of Bombshell" lead Singer Jessica said in a statement. "Being sisters, when it comes to writing, we like to tell stories in our songs and this is a story we believe every girl needs to hear." With Bombshell I really think we've found our voice!"

The song chronicles a true story of boyfriend betrayal that most any girl can relate to. It was recorded with producer Brian Howes (Hinder, Boys Like Girls, Nickelback) at his studios in Vancouver and showcases what makes Petrel unique: lead singer Jess’ powerhouse pipes, middle sister Bekah's soulful approach to playing keyboard and drums, and youngest sister Destiny’s serious guitar chops, which are way beyond her years.
When their music started to take off, the sisters packed up and headed to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams. The move paid off. Petrel is now signed with Johnny Wright who has also managed pop acts like Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and Jonas Brothers.

While the band is off to a bright career in Los Angeles, the sisters still have their Long Island pride.
"We miss the diners," Petrel told their fans on its blog.
