Deer Park Teen Charged With Failing To Care For 3 Pit Bulls: SPCA

The 19-year-old failed to feed and provide shelter to the 3 dogs, a 4-year-old and her two puppies, according to the SPCA.

DEER PARK, NY - A Deer Park teen was charged with failing to feed and provide proper shelter for his 3 pit bulls on Monday, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.

Famous Deshawn Wilson, 19, was charged with one count of animal cruelty for failure to provide proper sustenance and additionally for a violation for failure to provide proper shelter for his dogs after an investigation, the SPCA said.

All three dogs, a 4-year-old pit bull and her two puppies, were seized by the SPCA.

Olivia, the 4-year-old pit bull, was transported to an emergency animal hospital and found to be suffering from severe emaciation with a body score of 1.5 out of 9.

Wilson was arrested by SPCA Detectives and transported to the SCPD 3rd Precinct.

He was released on $500 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on August 16.

Currently, Olivia is now available for adoption from the Islip Animal Shelter. Her puppies have already been adopted.
