Deer Park Twins Honored With Suffolk Legislator’s Citizenship Award
Arianna and Giovanna Luppy were recognized at Deer Park High School.

DEER PARK, NY — Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly honored Deer Park High School seniors Arianna Luppy and Giovanna Luppy with his 2026 Citizenship Award.
The twin sisters were recognized during Deer Park High School’s senior awards ceremony on June 4, where Donnelly, a Deer Park High School graduate, presented them with County Proclamations and gifts from the Donnelly family.
The Citizenship Award is presented annually to a high school senior “who goes above and beyond for the school and the community.” This year marked the first time the school selected two students to receive the award.

Arianna and Giovanna are recognized by teachers and peers as compassionate, hardworking students who demonstrate leadership, kindness and a commitment to service, Donnelly’s office said.
Arianna is a member of the Best Buddies Club, varsity track team and Patriots Club. Giovanna serves as president of the Patriots Club and is active in Best Buddies and Unified Basketball. Together, they have been recognized for promoting inclusion, supporting fellow students and participating in community service activities.

“It was especially meaningful to recognize Arianna and Giovanna, both of whom I have personally witnessed giving back to the community and the school for years, for their outstanding citizenship and service to others,” Donnelly said. “They continually demonstrate exceptional character, leadership and compassion, embodying the values the award is intended to celebrate. I congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition and wish them continued success in the future.”
