Drunk North Babylon Man Crashes Car, Tries To Flee Scene: Police

NORTH BABYLON, NY - A North Babylon man crashed while driving drunk in North Babylon early Thursday, according to Suffolk Police.

Thabiti Lee, 32, was driving a 2016 Audi northbound on Woods Road, between Linda Lane and Erlanger Boulevard, when his car crashed and overturned at about 2:15 a.m., police said.

Officers then arrested Lee as he attempted to leave the scene on foot, police said.

He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries.

He was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
